Preparation of oleoresin capsicum cream

Oleoresin capsicum typically contains 2% capsaicin. To prepare 100 g of cream, 3.75 g of oleoresin is required. To ensure a homogeneous distribution of this ingredient, the use of an Unguator or Topitec is recommended.

Method

1. Weigh 50 g of hydrophilic anionic cream TMF into the ointment jar.
2. Add 3.75 g of oleoresin capsicum.
3. Mix for 5 minutes at a low speed.
4. Add the remaining 46.25 g of hydrophilic anionic cream to reach a total weight of 100 g.
5. Place the propeller, close the jar, and attach it to the mixing device.
6. Mix for 10 minutes at a medium speed for optimal processing.
